Comparing the number of international students in STEM subjects at the nine TU9 universities with those at all other German universities, we find 41.1% (WS 2009/10) are registered at TU9 universities.
Of 13,734 international freshmen in STEM subjects at German universities, 6,164 (44.8%) chose TU9 in winter semester 2009/2010.
The number of international students at TU9 universities in technical subjects in winter semester 2009/10 was 19% (18,135). Every fifth future engineer at a TU9 university is therefore international.
